Newington CE (Controlled) Primary School & Nursery currently offers the following provisions for 38 weeks a year (term time only):

Monday-Friday: morning sessions (8.45am-11.45am), afternoon sessions (12.15pm-3.15pm) or full day sessions (8.45am-3.15pm *additional lunchtime fee apples).

Families can choose to use government funded hours or alternatively pay for sessions.

Funding options:

All three and four-year-old children are entitled to 15 hours of funded Nursery education each week, from the term following their third birthday. Parents do not need to apply for the universal 3-4-year-old 15 hours funding.

Eligible working parents and carers of children aged 3 - 4 can get an additional 15 hours of childcare support, bringing the total support they can get up to 30 hours a week. Eligible working parents of 2-year-olds can also access 15 hours of childcare support. Please visit www.childcarechoices.gov.uk for further information and to check eligibility.

Some parents of 2-year-old children may also be entitled to 15 hours childcare support, if they receive some additional forms of government support. Please note, if you’re eligible for both the working entitlement and the 15 hours for families receiving support, you cannot take up both offers, and should apply for the 15 hours for families receiving support. You can use Tax-Free Childcare or Universal Credit Childcare whilst claiming your 15 or 30 hours of childcare support.

Delivery of funded hours:

Funded hours can be taken across 5 morning sessions, 5 afternoon sessions or a combination of morning and afternoon sessions. If you wish your child to stay a full day session, with the option to stay for lunch, this incurs a £3 daily charge. Please note if you do not wish to pay for this lunch period, you have the option to collect your child at 11.45am for the 30-minute lunch session. Children may return for the afternoon session 12.15pm-3.15pm.

 Entitlement to a Free Early Education place does not offer a guarantee of a place at any one provider or a particular pattern of delivery.

 Session times & fees

• Fees are to be paid weekly, monthly, or a term IN ADVANCE. We accept payment by Cash, bank transfer, tax free child accounts and card payments in the school office. 
• A statement is available on request for free early education hours that a child has accessed at the Nursery if required.

Admissions

If Newington CE (Controlled) Primary School & Nursery is over-subscribed, applications for entry will be ranked according to the following criteria:

1. 1. Children in care or being looked after
   2. Children who have a brother or sister attending the Nursery or school when the child starts
   3.  Any other children where the nearness of child’s home from the Nursery is measured in a straight line.
